Shields Criticizes Gervonta: “He’s a Scared Guy”

Undisputed world champion Claressa Shields commented on WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis agreeing to fight Jake Paul instead of taking on serious boxing challenges.

“Gervonta is incredibly skilled. But he’s a scared guy. Scared. There’s no chance he’ll say he can come back and handle Shakur, Ryan, Teofimo — all of them.

He’s like, ‘I’m retiring and fighting Jake.’

No, you can’t say that. Shakur called him out, Devin talked to him. Ryan… He knocked out Ryan.

The exhibition bout between Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis will take place on November 14 in the United States.
