According to LuckyPunch, Ukrainian heavyweight Igor Shevadzutskyi (11-1, 9 KOs) will step in on short notice against the biggest name in his record. The Ukrainian will fight former world title challenger Kubrat Pulev (30-3, 14 KOs).
On March 30th, the Bulgarian was scheduled to meet the "regular" WBA champion Mahmoud Charr (34-4, 20 KOs). A week before the fight, it was revealed that the champion had a bicep injury requiring surgery.
The Shevadzutskyi vs. Pulev fight will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria.
42-year-old Kubrat won against Andrzei Wawrzyk by decision in December. 33-year-old Shevadzutskyi last entered the ring in February 2024, winning by technical knockout against the then-undefeated Edonis Berisha.
