Taras Shelestyuk, Ukrainian boxing star and bronze medalist at the 2012 Olympics, has called out former WBA Super welterweight world champion Yordenis Ugas of Cuba.
"It will be a great fight! Let’s make it happen," Shelestyuk announced on Twitter.
Shelestyuk's last match, held in March of the previous year following an extended break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was against Cuban Gabriel Maestre. That bout ended in a draw.
Meanwhile, Ugas last stepped into the ring in April 2022, where he was defeated by American boxer Errol Spence Jr. via a tenth-round TKO.
