Hamzah Sheeraz Names Most Desired Opponents — Wants to Fight in the U.S.

British Super Middleweight Hamzah Sheeraz has named the opponents he most wants to face and stated that he would like to fight in the United States.

It would be an honour for me to share the ring with American fighters. One hundred percent.

Don’t get me wrong — I step in there with the intention of completely destroying my opponent, but these names — Jermall Charlo, Caleb Plant, Jaime Munguia, José Armando Reséndiz — they’re great fighters, big figures in America. It would be an honour to meet them in the ring and continue proving what I can do at 168 pounds.

My mindset is this: I want to fight American boxers or very, very big names — fighters against whom I’m seen as the underdog.

I hope the fight happens in February. It would be great to get back in the ring. We’ll see what Frank Warren and Turki decide, what the team says. I’ll just keep working hard,” said Sheeraz.

Hamzah Sheeraz (22-0-1, 18 KOs) last fought in the summer of 2025, when he knocked out Edgar Berlanga in the 5th round during his Super Middleweight debut.
