According to insider Mike Coppinger, some notable changes are in store for the July 12 card in New York — especially when it comes to the evening’s headliner.
During media week, the spotlight will fall squarely on the showdown between Shakur Stevenson and William Zepeda. They’ll be the featured attraction at all official events, appearing last in press conferences and promotional gatherings.
But once fight night rolls around, it’ll be Edgar Berlanga vs. Hamzah Sheeraz who step into the ring for the true main event — closing out the show under the bright lights.
The boxing night is scheduled just ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup Final, hosted this year by the United States. Adding to the spectacle, fighters from eight different countries will appear across the card. Details on the undercard matchups were reported here.
