American boxer Shakur Stevenson said he wants to fight Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko in the near future. Shakur demands from his managers to organize a duel against a top opponent.
“I think Lomachenko and I would have made a big fight. Let this happen in my next or next duel. My team knows that I'm ready. I do not need to embellish and organize easy walks for me.
Stevenson defeated Robson Conceicao in his last fight. At the end of the fight, all three judges gave a confident advantage to Shakur - 117-109, 118-108, and 117-109.
Stevenson after the victory announced his readiness to fight Lomachenko. The American believes that he deserves to fight the champion, like the Ukrainian or Devin Haney.
Promoter Bob Arum believes that Lomachenko and Stevenson can really be staged in 2023. Shakur himself expressed a similar opinion.
On October 29, Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko will fight Jemaine Ortiz at Madison Square Garden in New York. If Lomachenko wins, he is looking forward to a fight with undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney.
Lomachenko had his last fight in December last year, defeating Richard Commey by unanimous decision. Subsequently, Vasily could fight with George Kambosos, but refused it against the backdrop of a full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine.
