WBC lightweight champion (up to 61,2 kg) American Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) has identified the most hated active boxer.
"Maybe I'm the most hated fighter in this sport. I'm the only fighter they can remove from the P4P rankings while I became a world champion in three divisions at 26 years old, lol," Stevenson wrote.
This statement sparked a dialogue with one of his fans, who responded to his tweet:
"Emanuel Navarrete has already been a champion in three divisions and is on his way to a fourth championship this year."
Shakur had a reply ready.
"And he has a draw with someone I easily beat. I did better against him than Navarrete, lol," responded Stevenson.
Shakur has not fought since the fall of 2023, when he won by decision against Edvin De Los Santos. After that, Stevenson announced his retirement and return from it.
Emanuel Navarrete will be boxing against Denys Berinchyk on May 18 in the USA. The only draw of the Mexican occurred in his last fight – in the bout against Brazilian Robson Conceicao, whom Shakur defeated in 2022 by decision.
