Shakur Stevenson Drops Hints of a Possible Comeback

WBC lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) has subtly suggested that he might be considering a return from retirement. In response to a fan's question:

"Will we see this version of Shakur Stevenson again?" – the fan wrote alongside a video highlighting Shakur's best moments in the fight against Jamel Herring.

Stevenson replied, "Possibly. It has to be something special to come out of retirement."

On January 30, 2024, Shakur announced his official retirement from boxing. In 2023, Stevenson moved up to the lightweight division and secured the championship. Despite being just 26 years old, the American seems to be leaving the door open for a potential return to the ring.
