American pugilist Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) punches in his final boxing ticket.
"I'm hanging up my gloves for good. You'll still find me in the ring, sharpening skills and coaching up-and-comers to knock out their dreams. But I'm tapping out of this weak boxing scene," Shakur jabs.
Stevenson, who debuted in the lightweight division in 2023, floored Shuichiro Yoshino and outpunched Edwin De Los Santos by judges' call. Climbing to the top, Shakur clinched the WBC title in his second major tussle.
