Shakur Names Condition for Fight Against Ryan

In an interview with ESNEWS, WBC lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight between WBC titleholder Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs).

"My fight with Garcia? If he can't get a rematch with Gervonta, then he has no other option. I think the only step left in that case is a fight against me.

Will Haney beat Garcia? Yes, in my opinion, Devin will beat him. Probably, Devin will stop him. That's what I see. From the side, it seems to me that he was more focused on selling tickets for the fight.

He's trying to make this fight bigger in the media rather than prepare and show the best of himself. When I watched the sparring video where they said he was beating people up, I didn't think he looked super good.

At that moment, he looked big and pretty strong. I don't know. We'll see. I don't think he'll be able to win," Shakur said.

The fight between Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia is scheduled for April 20th in New York, USA.

Shakur Stevenson last entered the ring in November of the previous year, defeating Edwin De Los Santos (16-2, 14 KOs) and winning the vacant WBC title.
