WBC lightweight champ Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) of the USA served up a zinger on Twitter when asked about a potential comeback for a big payday in the UK. The question was sparked by a side-by-side comparison of his flawless record with that of Campbell Hatton (14-0, 5 KOs), the progeny of British boxing legend Ricky Hatton.
Stevenson's comeback was a knockout:
"I'll land so many on him, Ricky will be sprinting to the ring with a towel to throw in."
It's worth noting that earlier in 2024, the 26-year-old Shakur Stevenson dropped a bombshell by announcing his retirement from the sweet science.
