Shakur unwilling to fight Teofimo in Honduras!

WBC lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) explained why he doesn't want to face WBO champion in the first super lightweight division (up to 63.5 kg) Teofimo Lopez (20-1, 13 KOs) on his turf:

'No, that's nonsense. I have another fight in my contract, and he just declined the agreement with Top Rank. It would be pointless to go to his territory, where boxing is obviously more politicized than anything else. We can fight anywhere he wishes; I am ready to negotiate when he is ready,' said Stevenson.

After defeating Ortiz, Teofimo expressed his desire to have the next fight in Honduras. According to Shakur, he'll leave boxing at the age of 26.
