Shakur: "To Hell with Their P4P"

WBC lightweight champion (up to 61,2 kg) Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) reacted to many experts deciding not to include him in the pound-for-pound (best boxers irrespective of weight class) rankings.

"Edwin De Los Santos is a good boxer, and I was in the ring with him with an injured hand. It hurt like hell when I started the fight.

What did you expect from me? Expected me to win. But I can't go into the ring to fight with one hand and exchange blows. It's impossible. I disagree that this one poor performance negates my previous five good ones. How can you call me boring?

Before, I entertained and pleased fans with my performances, fighting at close range and engaging in exchanges. Ultimately, I won this fight.

To hell with their P4P. Screw what they think. I don't care what they say about me. I am the best boxer in the world. They can't say or do anything that would make me feel like someone is better than me.

I don’t understand — I’m a three-division champion at 26 years old and just secured another win. How can you exclude me from the P4P list after a victory? I disagree with that," said Stevenson.

Shakur Stevenson’s next fight will take place on July 6th. His opponent will be German Artem Arutyunyan.
