Shakur Defends Haney: "It Shows His Character"

WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. has revealed when and where he wants to face IBF champion Jaron Ennis in a unification bout.

"I definitely want to fight at State Farm Arena and pack the place out. Anyone can be the perfect opponent when I’m in there — that’s all it takes.

Here in Georgia, I have a huge fan base. They love watching my fights because I bring action and knockouts. In my opinion, we should make this fight happen at home.

Barrios has a belt too, but he’s just playing around with it. I’m here. Let’s do it.

A fight with Ennis this year is very possible. He wants to become undisputed. I want to become undisputed. Why can’t it happen? Ennis is a very strong fighter. Skilled, talented, hard-working — he has everything needed to beat Stanionis. But Stanionis is a champion for a reason. I’m sure he’ll show why on fight night. May the best man win. I’ll be watching," said Norman.

A unification bout between Norman and Ennis was previously discussed, but Norman’s team withdrew at the time.

The detailed stats for Ennis vs. Stanionis can be found here.
