WBC lightweight champion (up to 61,2 kg) Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) claims he is significantly better than IBF and IBO titleholder Vasyl Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs).
"I promise that if I ever get the chance, I will show that I'm several levels above Loma.
He's a damn good fighter, one of my favorite boxers. That's why he declined to fight me and chose to go the IBF route. He never planned to get in the ring with me," said Shakur.
On May 12th, Lomachenko won by technical knockout against George Kambosos and claimed the IBF and IBO lightweight titles.
Shakur will defend his title on July 6th in Newark, USA, against Artem Arutyunyan (12-1, 7 KOs).
