Shakur Secures Next Opponent

ESPN insider Mike Coppinger reports that WBC lightweight (up to 61,2 kg) champion Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) and German boxer Artem Harutyunyan (12-1, 7 KOs) have finalized an agreement for a fight.

The match is scheduled to take place on July 6th in Newark, New Jersey, USA. This bout will be the last for the American under his contract with the promotional company Top Rank.

Stevenson last entered the ring in November of the previous year, securing a victory over Edwin De Los Santos. Harutyunyan, in his most recent fight, suffered a decision loss to the American boxer Frank Martin.
