Serrano Won’t Demand Compensation from Reina for Missed Weight

WBA, WBO, and IBO featherweight champion Amanda Serrano spoke out regarding Reina Tellez's failed weigh-in ahead of their upcoming bout.

“My team doesn’t do that to her. I’m not asking for anything. She is a young girl. She doesn’t need to cut her hair. I don’t support that.

Give her more time or leave her alone. I’m not complaining,” Serrano said.

The clash between Serrano (47-4-1, 30 KOs) and Tellez (13-0-1, 5 KOs) will take place on January 3, 2026, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The WBA and WBO belts will not be on the line because the Mexican fighter failed to make weight.
