Serhii Bohachuk Assesses Itauma’s Chances of Dethroning Usyk

Ukrainian Super Welterweight Serhii Bohachuk shared his thoughts on a possible fight between rising prospect Moses Itauma and undisputed Heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk.

They’re building Itauma up, promoting him. But he’s got nothing to oppose Usyk with. What can he possibly use against Usyk? Usyk will just dismantle him the same way he dismantled everyone else. And then he’ll finish him in the late rounds. That’s it.

There’s nothing there. He simply has no equals. At the moment, nobody. In the best-case scenario for Itauma, he goes the distance — just survives to the final bell. In the worst case, Usyk will take him apart, demoralize him, and Itauma won’t even understand what’s happening. Then Usyk will overwhelm him with punches, and the fight gets stopped. That’s it. No chance. Absolutely no chance at all,” said Bohachuk.

On August 16, the 20-year-old Moses Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) stopped Dillian Whyte in the first round by TKO.

On July 19, Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) knocked out Daniel Dubois in the fifth round, becoming undisputed champion of the world for the third time.
