Former world champion Ukrainian Vyacheslav Senchenko shared his thoughts on who might win the absolute championship fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.
"– It's going to be tough. I think Usyk will win, most likely by a decision of the judges.
– What could be the decisive factor of the fight?
– Usyk's timing and speed. Although Fury can't be called a slow boxer either. Compared to his previous opponent – Daniel Dubois – Fury is much faster. Compared to Anthony Joshua? Fury is probably a bit faster there too.
I think timing will decide everything. Just like it was with Joshua. Those fractions of a second, the ability to anticipate. Those moments the opponent can't react to, Usyk's timing is at a very high level.
I think he will outwork Fury in terms of timing. He will be ahead of him by those fractions of a second," said Senchenko.
The showdown between Usyk and Fury has been postponed to May 18. This will be the first fight for the absolute heavyweight championship since 1999.
