Senchenko Names the Fastest Opponent in His Career

Former world champion Ukrainian Vyacheslav Senchenko, in a comment for The Ring, shared who among his opponents was the fastest.

"Overall, Paulie Malignaggi was faster than me. He had the fastest hands of all my opponents. I couldn't always keep up with his punches.

I tried to stop his attacks by moving my head from side to side. However, he would meet me with a jab – this eventually led to such a loss.

Looking back, if I had just tried to block his jab and catch it with my gloves – I could have neutralized him," Senchenko recalled.

Senchenko and Malignaggi met at the Donbass Arena in Donetsk in 2012 for the WBA World Welterweight (up to 66,67 kg) title fight. Paul won by technical knockout in the 9th round.

Vyacheslav's next fight was against Ricky Hatton, in which he ended the Brit's career with a body shot.
