Farewell to the Ring: John Ryder Announces Retirement

John Ryder, the British super middleweight contender with 32 wins, 7 losses, and 18 knockouts, has decided to throw the towel on his professional boxing career.

"It's with a heavy heart I've chosen to hang up my gloves and step out of the ring for good. I look back with pride on an incredible 14-year journey in the sport I love.

From my first bout in Bethnal-Green in 2010 to my last dance in Phoenix, Arizona, it's been one heck of a ride. I've duked it out in iconic venues across the globe, from the O2 Arena and the T-Mobile in Vegas to Oleksandr Palace and Manchester Arena, all the way to Guadalajara, Mexico.

This Islington lad sure has covered some ground," reflected Ryder.

Throughout his tenure in the ring, Ryder clinched the interim middleweight championship title not once but twice, marking a commendable legacy in boxing.
