American super lightweight boxer Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) publicly thanked the team of the undisputed super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.
"Thank you, Canelo, for all the lessons and teachings you've given me. I also thank Eddy Reynoso for all the training you've helped me with. I'm forever grateful from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for showing me love, brother, I appreciate you. You supported me through Twitter, I'm grateful for that. God bless you. I'm going to bring the WBC title home. Viva Mexico!" wrote Garcia on his Instagram.
"Just focus and win this fight. You know we love you, kid," Canelo responded.
"Shock the world, son!" added Alvarez's trainer Eddy Reynoso.
Ryan and Canelo used to train together. Later, Garcia switched several teams and is now training under Derrick James. On April 20, Garcia will be fighting Devin Haney for the WBC super lightweight title. Canelo will defend his undisputed status on May 4 against Jaime Munguia.
