American boxer Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) has stated his intention to sue the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA). The American denies his guilt in allegations regarding doping usage ahead of his fight against Devin Haney (31-1, 15 KOs).
"I’m suing VADA," Garcia wrote on Twitter.
After the winning fight against Devin Haney, in which Ryan missed weight, it became known that his doping tests returned positive results. Garcia is accused of using a substance that helps strengthen the muscular system and increases endurance.
Previously, similar accusations have led to fight results being annulled and fighters being disqualified.
