Junior welterweight (up to 63.5 kg) representative Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs) commented on the fight between undisputed super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) and Jaime Munguia (43-1, 34 KOs).
"It was a great fight. Canelo showed his experience, but Jaime was determined. Munguia is a beast. Canelo dropped Munguia with a good uppercut. Jaime was getting stuck on the inside. Canelo caught him. It was a good fight.
Who's next for Canelo? I don't know. Of course, I want to see his fight against David Benavidez. That's the fight I'm waiting for," Garcia said.
On the night of May 5th, Saul Alvarez won against Jaime Munguia by unanimous decision, defending his undisputed champion title for the fourth time. This loss marked the first in Munguia's career.
