Ryan: «F* it, I'll Fight Benavidez»

American boxer Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs) reacted to the news that the International Boxing Federation (IBF) has ordered the undisputed super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Saul Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) to fight William Scull (22-0, 9 KOs).

Previously, fans and experts were urging Canelo to face David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs), and the head of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, Turki Alalshikh, wanted to organize this fight.

«F*** it, I'll fight David Benavidez. Ryan Garcia vs. David Benavidez at 178 pounds (80.7 kg),» wrote Ryan.

Interestingly, Garcia is talking about the heavyweight category (from 79.4 kg to 90.7 kg), while his last fight was in the junior welterweight division, making the difference more than 15 kilograms. Benavidez will debut in the light heavyweight division (up to 79.38 kg) on June 15 against Oleksandr Gvozdyk (20-1, 16 KOs).

On April 20, Garcia became the first to defeat Haney in the professional ring. At the final weigh-in, Ryan showed a weight 1.5 kg over the junior welterweight limit.
