American Welterweight boxer Ryan Garcia had a tense exchange with his promoter, Golden Boy Promotions founder and CEO Oscar De La Hoya, when De La Hoya phoned him during a party.
“Don’t call me unless you’ve got a $20 million deal for me. Okay, Oscar? Don’t call me unless you’ve got a $20 million fight. You understand? Get off my damn phone,” Garcia said.
Earlier, Ryan publicly voiced his dissatisfaction with his cooperation with Oscar De La Hoya.
In May, Ryan Garcia (24-2, 20 KOs) lost to Rolando Romero by unanimous decision and was knocked down in the second round.
