Ryan Garcia’s Suspension Ends: Ruling by the Athletic Commission

The New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) has officially announced its decision regarding the suspension of American boxer Ryan Garcia. The ban was imposed in April 2024, after Garcia tested positive for a banned substance following his victory over Devin Haney.

The suspension has been lifted. All terms of the agreement have been fulfilled,” confirmed a NYSAC representative to BoxingScene.

Garcia’s suspension had barred him from fighting for one year, and his win over Haney was nullified. As part of the resolution, Garcia received the maximum fine of $10,000 and forfeited his entire purse from the Haney bout.

Ryan Garcia is now set to return to the ring on May 2, with a high-profile fight taking place in the heart of Times Square, New York.
