American boxer Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) has officially announced his registration for Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) testing and will also participate in the testing program overseen by the California State Athletic Commission.
Previously, Garcia had publicly stated that he would never use VADA’s services. This declaration came after his post-fight drug tests revealed banned substances following his bout against Devin Haney, which ultimately led to the fight’s result being overturned.
Garcia and Haney are expected to have a rematch, but both fighters will first compete in separate bouts on the same fight card before their anticipated second showdown.
