American super lightweight boxer Ryan Garcia has outlined his plans for future fights after his potential bout against Japan’s Anpo, if it takes place.
Among the opponents mentioned, Garcia named Jake Paul, UFC champion Sean O’Malley, and two rematches—against Devin Haney and Gervonta Davis.
“In a fight against Jake Paul, I’d weigh around 84 kilograms (185 pounds), I think. Maybe I’d be a bit undersized, but skills matter. We’ve seen Floyd Mayweather fight Logan Paul. I believe I’d knock Jake out in four or five rounds.
The rematch with Haney has become a bit personal now. They think I was doping, but I wasn’t even preparing for that fight. It was light work, and I’ll do it again.”
It remains uncertain if Garcia’s return will happen in the fight against Anpo, following a public statement from Golden Boy Promotions disputing the bout's announcement. The fight is preliminarily scheduled for December 30.
