American junior welterweight (up to 140 lbs, 63.5 kg) Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs) was not particularly impressed with the performance of former champion George Kambosos (21-3, 10 KOs) against IBF and IBO lightweight titleholder (up to 135 lbs, 61.2 kg) Vasyl Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs).
"George kambozo sucks I’m sorry," Garcia wrote.
This reaction might be connected to Kambosos calling Garcia's positive doping test a "dog act."
On May 12th, Vasiliy Lomachenko achieved an early victory over George Kambosos and became the IBF and IBO lightweight champion.
On the night of April 21st, Ryan Garcia won by split decision against Devin Haney. Despite the loss, Devin remains the WBC champion as Garcia failed to make weight and was not eligible to claim the title. Later, it was revealed that Garcia had failed doping tests.
