American boxer Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs), competing in the lightweight division (up to 63.5 kg), is already considering the name of his next opponent should he defeat WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs). He shared his thoughts on Jack Alter's YouTube channel.
"After beating Haney, I'd like to fight Teofimo. I think he's my next opponent. We will break the internet even more.
Devin is weak when hit. He remembers what I did to him. Haney doesn't even have a strong punch. He won on points, but I don't even remember that. But when I won, he sh*t himself. That's the difference. With every punch of mine, his ass was cracking," Ryan said.
The fight between Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia is scheduled for April 20th in Las Vegas, USA. The boxers have previously met 6 times in the amateurs, with a record of 3-3.
