Ryan Garcia Accuses Haney of Rigging Doping Scandal

American boxing stars Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) and Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) faced off in a heated press conference in Los Angeles, promoting their respective upcoming fights on May 2. While their official opponents are Rolando Romero and Jose Ramirez, their long-standing rivalry once again took center stage.

Garcia, who defeated Haney in April 2024 but later had his victory overturned due to a positive test for ostarine, made a bombshell accusation. He claimed Haney’s team may have orchestrated the doping scandal to nullify his win.

Ryan Garcia: "I'm focused on one thing—beating Devin Haney’s ass again. That’s all I care about. Not proving anything, just shutting down this nonsense about ostarine, which you probably set up yourself. We know this was your doing. Where’s your brother? Is he in the building? Because he knew about it before anyone else, and you won’t answer that question."

Devin Haney: "How did you test positive?"

Ryan Garcia: "Corruption at its finest. They couldn’t handle the loss. What’s up? I see right through you. I don’t even want to touch on it—I don’t know what you’re doing with your hands, man."

Devin Haney: "You accepted the punishment because you knew you were guilty."

Ryan Garcia: "Ostarine doesn’t help you block a left hook. You took a thousand shots to the face. You got dropped. You know damn well I didn’t take anything."

Devin Haney: "Kids, don’t do drugs. Don’t do drugs, kids."

Ryan Garcia: "Oh, yeah, that’s your little go-to line, huh?"

In April 2024, Garcia defeated Haney by decision, knocking him down in the 7th, 10th, and 11th rounds. However, after the fight, Garcia tested positive for ostarine, leading to the result being overturned and Garcia receiving a one-year suspension.
