Ryan Believes Gervonta Should Fight Him Again

First super lightweight boxer American Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) is convinced that the WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) should face him for a second time.

"I'm not worried about Gervonta anymore. Let him think about me.

If he's not ready to fight, we'll just forget about him because Gervonta Davis isn't that special. If he doesn't fight, he won't be interesting to anyone. Sooner or later, he will have to meet real fighters.

He should fight me because that's the only way to make $30 million in one night," said Garcia.

Gervonta and Ryan have already met. In April 2023, Davis knocked out Garcia with a body shot.

Since then, the champion hasn't been in the ring. In the meantime, Ryan has moved up a weight class, knocked out Oscar Duarte, and now, on April 20th, will fight against WBC first super lightweight champion Devin Haney. Davis is scheduled to box against Frank Martin in June.
