The head of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, spoke about the possibility of a rematch between Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs), who is currently serving a one-year suspension, and WBC champion on leave, Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs).
"I like this guy, and I want to arrange a big fight with him. He asked me to organize a rematch between him and Haney. We want to see that fight.
I’m against doping and everything related to it. I told Ryan Garcia: ‘You have to take a test and clear your name, and I’ll be waiting for you.’ That’s fair. He has a suspension in America. He could do something in Saudi Arabia, but I won’t do that in Saudi Arabia.
I’ll respect his suspension. But if he resolves his issue, we’re ready to do something with him," Turki told Stomping Ground.
As a reminder, after defeating Devin Haney in April, banned substances were found in Ryan’s system. As a result, the fight was declared void, and Garcia received a one-year suspension.
