Ryan Suggests Romero Switch Boxing for Something Else

American super lightweight boxer Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) believes that the former WBA champion in his division, Rolando Romero (15-2, 13 KOs), should consider changing his competition class after losing to Isaac Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs). He suggests continuing to box but against different opponents.

"Remember how Rolli criticized me for a potential fight with Cruz – now Isaac has knocked him out. Seriously though, Romero should switch to boxing with influencers. I'm not joking, I think The Great Dean would beat him," Garcia wrote.

At the beginning of 2024, Ryan had a list of possible opponents – Devin Haney, Rolando Romero, and Isaac Cruz. However, they eventually agreed on a title fight against WBC champion Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs). Romero, on the other hand, lost to Cruz by a knockout in the 8th round.
