Roy Jones Believes Gervonta Needs to Face Lomachenko

Former four-division world champion Roy Jones thinks that WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) should consider former three-division world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) as his next opponent.

"Maybe Gervonta needs to go and fight Lomachenko. They both compete at 135 pounds. Why not fight Lomachenko right now? Will Loma beat Davis? I don't know. Tank is very tough to deal with. The guy really has a lot of weapons and tools," Jones said.

On May 12th, Lomachenko will fight George Kambosos for the IBF lightweight title. Gervonta last won by knocking out Ryan Garcia, after which he has not returned to the ring.
