Romero names a boxer with a stronger punch than Gervonta's

WBA champion in the first super featherweight division (up to 63.5 kg), Rolando Romero, has stated that Ismael Barroso's punch is stronger than Gervonta Davis's:

"Whose punch is stronger? Barroso. Much stronger," Romero said.

Romero has fought against both boxers. In May 2023, Barroso lost to Romero by a referee stoppage in the 9th round. This stoppage was considered by most publications as one of the most controversial of the year.

Rolando faced Gervonta in May 2022. Davis knocked out Romero in the 6th round.
