WBA lightweight champion Rolando Romero (15-1, 13 KOs) discussed his upcoming fight against Isaac Cruz (25-2-1, 17 KOs).
"He's not that unique. I constantly fight guys like him. Those were probably the easiest sparring sessions of my life. He can be replicated, I cannot. My style goes hand in hand with my personality, it's unique.
If you want to come at me and get hit – go ahead. He might do that with the smaller guys he usually fights, but I'm a big fighter, and I hit harder than anyone in this weight category. I'm always here ready to go for the knockout and the kill. I'm not here just to touch you – I want to knock you out. I will knock him out. He'll come at me and I'll stop him.
All I'm doing right now is getting ready to shut his mouth, punch by punch. With every punch, he'll talk a little less," Romero said.
The fight between Rolando Romero and Isaac Cruz is set for March 30 in Las Vegas, USA.
