Rolando Romero may face former five-division champion
WBA champion in the first super lightweight category (up to 63.5 kg), Rolando Romero, has hinted at a potential bout in the coming year in a tweet:
"Rollie vs. Broner #2024. Forget Ryan. Rollie vs. Broner – the biggest festival of trash talk in history," wrote Romero on his Twitter.
In 2023, Romero had one match, questionably defeating Ismael Barroso. Broner, after a two-year hiatus, returned in 2023, securing a victory against Bill Hutchinson.
Previously, Romero and Broner were considered as potential opponents for Ryan Garcia, who plans to compete in the first super lightweight division. Meanwhile, Romero mentioned that he is not rushing his comeback and is taking a break on the islands.
