Rodriguez Brutally Knocks Out Estrada

On the night of June 30 in Phoenix, USA, a championship bout took place in the super flyweight division (up to 52.2 kg), where Juan Francisco Estrada (44-4, 28 KOs) defended his WBC world title against Jesse Rodriguez (20-0, 13 KOs).

The fight ended in the 7th round – Rodriguez knocked out Estrada with a body shot. KO 7.

Estrada had not fought since December 2022, when he won by majority decision against Roman Gonzalez (51-4, 41 KOs). In December 2023, Rodriguez handed Sunny Edwards his first career defeat after Edwards’ corner refused to continue the fight in the 9th round.

Estrada has previously lost three times in his professional career, always seeking and securing rematches. He orchestrated a trilogy with Roman Gonzalez, coming out victorious. The main question for the rematch is whether Estrada can maintain this trend, considering Rodriguez's dominant victory style.
