Super Series on the Horizon? Riyadh Season Signs Agreements with Two More Top Promoters

The head of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, Turki Alalshikh, announced the signing of cooperation agreements between Riyadh Season and the promotional companies Top Rank, led by Bob Arum, and Golden Boy Promotions, headed by Oscar De La Hoya.

The partnership with Top Rank aims to bring world-class boxing events to Riyadh Season, which will sponsor 12 Top Rank tournaments in 2024 and 2025.

The partnership with Golden Boy Promotions will kick off with a fight between the WBC interim super welterweight champion Serhii Bohachuk (24-1, 23 KOs) and Vergil Ortiz Jr. (21-0, 21 KOs), scheduled for August 10 in Las Vegas, USA. The agreement includes the promotion of top-tier boxing events, leveraging the strengths of both organizations.

Previously, Riyadh Season signed agreements with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, organizing joint boxing events.

These include the fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship between Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs), the 5 vs. 5 tournament between Matchroom and Queensberry boxers, and the upcoming August 3 tournament in Los Angeles, USA, featuring Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) against Israil Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs) for the WBA and interim WBO super welterweight titles.
