Rigondeaux Returns to the Ring: Guillermo Hasn’t Boxed in Over a Year

Cuban former world champion and two-time Olympic champion Guillermo Rigondeaux will have his next fight on November 12. His opponent will be 30-year-old Romanian athlete Ionuț Baluța (16-5-1, 3 KOs).

The bout will take place in Miami, USA.

Rigondeaux has not fought since June 2023, when he won by knockout in the 7th round against Charlie Clemente-Andino. Baluțe lost by decision to Dennis McCann. There were earlier discussions about Rigondeaux participating in bare-knuckle fights. Guillermo is now 44 years old.
