Manchester Pays Final Tribute to Ricky Hatton

In Manchester, United Kingdom, a farewell ceremony was held for the city’s former world champion Ricky Hatton, who passed away on September 14.

The funeral procession began at the Cheshire Cheese pub in Hyde, near Hatton’s home. His sky-blue coffin — a tribute to his beloved Manchester City — was carried by, among others, his brother Matthew Hatton and longtime manager Paul Speak.

Among those in attendance were former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, former unified super lightweight champion Amir Khan, and Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.

The procession then made its way to Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City, where the final farewell ceremony took place.

Ricky Hatton is survived by his son Campbell, daughters Millie and Fern, granddaughter Lyla, parents Carol and Ray, and brother Matthew Hatton.
