Ricky Hatton’s Cause of Death Confirmed as Suicide

According to Sky Sports, former world champion Ricky Hatton, aged 46, has died by suicide.

The news was disclosed during a hearing at the Royal Court, where coroner Alison Match officially announced the cause of death. According to the investigation, Hatton’s family last saw him on September 12, and at that time, he “appeared to be in good spirits.” The following day, he failed to attend a scheduled event, and on the morning of September 14, his manager went to his home and found him deceased.

It is noted that Hatton had previously survived a suicide attempt and had been actively working on improving his mental health.
