Reynoso Denies $55 Million Offer for Canelo to Fight Benavidez

Eddy Reynoso, the coach and manager of the undisputed super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs), has refuted claims that Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) offered the Mexican boxer a guaranteed $55 million for a fight against David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs).

Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz previously posted on social media that PBC had offered Canelo a guaranteed $55 million for a bout against Benavidez, but later deleted the post.

ESPN Mexico also reported that PBC was ready to pay Saul Alvarez a guaranteed purse of $35 million for a fight against the 27-year-old Mexican Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs).

Recently, Saul mentioned plans to return to the ring on May 4th in Las Vegas, but the name of the future opponent remains a mystery.
