The oldest boxing magazine in history, The Ring, has given its final say on the best of boxing for 2023.
Boxer of the Year: Naoya Inoue
The Japanese fighter moved up to a new weight class and became the undisputed champion in two fights, defeating Stephen Fulton and Marlon Tapales, both by knockout. Inoue is the second two-time undisputed world champion in history, with the first being Terence Crawford.
Fight of the Year: Luis Nery KO 11 Azat Hovhannisyan.
Knockout of the Year: Junto Nakatani KO 12 Andrew Moloney.
Performance of the Year: Terence Crawford
With a stoppage victory over Errol Spence, Crawford secured the title of the first-ever two-time undisputed world champion in the era of four major titles.
Trainer of the Year: Brian McIntyre
The coach of Terence Crawford, Brian also prepared Chris Eubank Jr. for a rematch with Liam Smith, where Eubank won by TKO in the 11th round.
