Ramirez and Ortiz Jr. to Have Their Next Fights on April 27

BoxingScene reports that former super lightweight world champion Jose Ramirez (28-1, 18 KOs) and American Virgil Ortiz Jr. (20-0, 20 KOs) will have their next fights on April 27.

The bouts will be part of a boxing evening held at the Save Mart Arena in Fresno, USA.

This will be Ramirez's debut fight after signing a contract with Golden Boy Promotions. He is considering a match-up either with former IBF super lightweight champion Sergey Lipinets (17-3-1, 13 KOs) or former IBF lightweight champion Rances Barthelemy (30-2-1, 15 KOs).

The opponent for Ortiz Jr. is yet to be announced.

Jose Ramirez last fought in March of the previous year against Ghanaian Richard Commey (30-5-1, 27 KOs) and won by knockout. Virgil Ortiz Jr. dealt with Frederick Lawson (30-4, 22 KOs) by technical knockout in January.
