Queensberry Promotions has issued an official response to reports that Joseph Parker tested positive for cocaine on the day of his fight with Fabio Wardley, a bout Parker lost by 11th-round knockout. Earlier, The Sun reported that VADA had detected cocaine metabolites in Parker’s sample.
“Last night, the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) notified all relevant parties that Joseph Parker returned an adverse finding from a test conducted on October 25, relating to his contest against Fabio Wardley.
As the matter is currently under investigation, we will not be making any further comment at this time,” Queensberry Promotions said in its statement.
