The bout between Ukrainian Igor Shevadzutskiy (11-1, 9 KOs) and Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev (30-3, 14 KOs) will have a title on the line. The winner of the clash will claim the WBA International heavyweight title, reports Fightnews.com.
The fight is scheduled for March 30 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Previously, on the same date, Pulev was slated to fight the "regular" WBA champion Mahmoud Charr (34-4, 20 KOs). However, due to a bicep injury requiring surgery, Charr withdrew from the matchup.
The last fight for 42-year-old Pulev took place in December 2023, where he secured a victory against the Polish fighter Wawrzyk.
33-year-old Shevadzutsky suffered a loss to Martin Bakole by stoppage in April 2023, and in February 2024, he won by technical knockout against Edonis Berisha.
