"Tough, with a Strong Punch." Pulev's Promoter Wary of Shevadzutsky

Ivaylo Gotzev, promoter of the 42-year-old former world title contender Kubrat Pulev (30-3, 14 KOs), believes that his future opponent, 34-year-old Ukrainian Igor Shevadzutsky (11-1, 9 KOs), should not be underestimated.

"After our long-awaited return to Bulgaria, we faced a serious challenge due to Charr's injury. Although we're disappointed, we planned a great night of boxing and entertainment for Bulgaria – so the show must go on. Kubrat's brother, Tervel, an Olympic bronze medalist, will fight Rolly Lambert Fogoum in the undercard. Shevadzutsky is a tough and hard boxer with heavy punches. He has nothing to lose but everything to gain. He knocked out his last opponent just last month and is in great shape. He was training when he got the call. He didn't hesitate for a second to take this wonderful opportunity. Igor has a forward-moving style and the ability to knock out with both hands. It's a risky fight for Kubrat, but he relishes the challenge and wants his fans and boxing fans around the world to see a competitive fight," said Gotzev.

Shevadzutsky agreed to fight Pulev on a week's notice due to a bicep injury suffered by Mahmoud Charr a few days ago. The clash between Shevadzutsky and Pulev is scheduled for March 30 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
